Applications for Fall 2025 are now open! Current 9th, 10th, or 11th graders are encouraged to begin their applications for next school year and finish by our March 1st priority deadline.

Begin the application process.

Once you begin the application process, a Checklist will be created for you in our online application system. After you complete and submit the application form, the next steps will be unlocked and will appear on your checklist. 

You must complete the Application Form before the other steps will appear on your checklist. 

Details and instructions about each step of the application checklist are listed below. Click on each title to see details.

  • Complete and submit the online application.

    • The application contains sections which must be completed by the applicant and the parent/guardian.
    • Be sure to answer application questions thoughtfully and completely. 
    • The application must be completed before you can begin the next steps, so complete and submit your application as soon as possible. 
    • Click on the "Apply for Fall 2025" button to get started!
  • Submit your ACT, SAT, PreACT, or PSAT scores.

    • Upload a copy of your standardized test scores - don't forget that your name must also be visible
    • If you don't already have standardized test scores, you may register for and/or take the test before you have unlocked this stage of the application.
    • If your test scores are more than a year old, we strongly encourage you to take a new test
    • If taking the ACT, we recommend the December 14th or February 8th test dates.
    • If taking the SAT, we recommend the December 7th test date.  
    • When registering for the ACT, please be sure to use code 6351 in the four-digit space for reports to colleges and scholarship programs. This code will ensure that your test scores will be sent to LSMSA in a timely manner.
    • We do not require the writing portion of the ACT.

  • Submit your transcript/report card

    • Upload a copy of your transcript (it does not have to be an official copy) or previous year report cards.
    • Be sure to submit documentation of all high school credit(s) you have earned, as well as your previous year's grades.  
  • Submit LEAP/EOC scores.

    • Upload copies of your previous score reports or ask your guidance counselor to fax or email copies of your state testing record to Enrollment Services.
    • We do not require reports from the current year. We are interested in your testing history.
    • If you have attended private school or are home-schooled, this requirement will be waived. 
  • Request letters of recommendation.

    • Using the forms found within your application checklist, complete the online request for letters of recommendation from a principal or guidance counselor, a math or science teacher and an English teacher.
    • The principal/guidance counselor recommendation and at least one of the academic recommendations must be from this current school year. 
  • Submit your current grades

    • Upload a copy of your grades for the Fall 2024 semester.
    • Please complete this step at the end of the fall semester or start of the spring semester.
  • Any time: Visit LSMSA.

  • Complete an interview.

    • Once your application checklist is complete, we'll contact you to schedule a time for an interview. Most of our interviews are completed over the phone or via video conference, so it will not require that you come to campus.
We are now accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year.

It's a good idea to keep copies of all documents pertaining to your application for your records. 

Supplemental application materials may be uploaded, faxed, or emailed.

Campus Visit Information

All applicants are encouraged to visit the campus at least once during the application process for an Exploration Day or a family tour.

Visiting campus is the very best way to experience LSMSA, as it offers an opportunity to see the school in action, sit in on classes, and meet other prospective students.
