A long-standing part of the academic requirements of LSMSA, required weekends bring students together on 3-4 weekends a year for additional academic experiences or school-sponsored events aimed at enhancing the living/learning environment.

Exploration Day at LSMSA
9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The first LSMSA Exploration Day of the Spring '25 semester will be held on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025. Exploration Days are an excellent opportunity to get a first-hand look at what LSMSA is all about. During these "open house"-style events, prospective students sit in on classes while their parents hear from the administration. There is no charge to attend an Exploration Day, but registration is required. Register here.

Campus Tour for Prospective Students
1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
LSMSA will host a campus tour on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. While campus tours do not give prospective students an opportunity to attend classes (attend an Exploration Day for that experience), campus tour guests can explore campus and learn more about LSMSA while visiting Natchitoches. Advance registration is required. Register here.

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
