G. Brian Smith, Treasurer

Brian Smith brings over two decades of banking experience to his role as Managing Director of Northeast Louisiana at b1BANK.

His career began at Origin Bank, where he served as a commercial lender before progressing to Senior Vice President and Market President of Ruston at Louisiana National Bank.

In addition to his professional achievements, Brian actively contributes to the community. He has dedicated eight years to the board of directors for DART of Northeast Louisiana, demonstrating his commitment to local initiatives. Brian has also lent his leadership skills to the boards of the Ruston Civic Symphony Society and played a pivotal role in establishing the Ruston Farmers Market.

Brian earned his BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia, Athens, laying a solid foundation for his successful banking career. Outside of work, he enjoys a fulfilling family life with his wife, Maryanne Davis Smith, an alumna of the LSMSA class of 1996, and their two children, George (15) and Josephine (12) Smith.
