    This student-organized Veterans Day celebration will feature speakers, music, and performances in LSMSA's Treen Auditorium at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7. A student from LSMSA will read an essay, the LSMSA choir will sing, and Natchitoches resident Dr. Jerry Glynn Ferguson will be honored. Students will take a group photo outside next to the flag pole, following the ceremony, with faculty and staff Veterans raising the flag.

  • Exploration Day

    LSMSA's first Exploration Day of 2024 will be held on Monday, Nov. 11. Exploration Days are an excellent opportunity to get a first-hand look at what LSMSA is all about. During these Open House events, prospective students sit in on classes while their parents hear from the school's administration. Parents and students tour the campus, hear from current LSMSA students, and have lunch in the dining hall.
     
    Exploration Days generally begin around 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 2:00 p.m. LSMSA will provide a letter for students to take to their schools confirming their attendance.
     
    Who should attend? We encourage students who are currently in the eighth grade or higher to attend an Exploration Day. Students who are younger than eighth grade who are traveling with their older sibling may attend; however, they should accompany their parents to all parent activities.

    The LSMSA Alumni Association will host its annual tailgate party on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 12 p.m. during the Tigers' home game against Vanderbilt University. The location will be Patrick F. Taylor Hall, where the 2023 LSMSAAA Tailgate was held. Food will be catered by BRQ, which is owned by LSMSA alum Rush Ruffolo ('96). Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
